Baby Cards

My cousin recently had twins, a girl and a boy, and I wanted to make some cards for them.  I love the quilt look for baby cards so I took some scraps of my Kiki Art papers and with the help of the stitch fun tapes turned them into a quilt.

For the girl card I used pink colors all from the Amor collection.  I also added a pink ruffle and scallop edge for a finishing touch.

For the Boy card I used blue, green and yellow papers all from the Jardin collection.  I also added a green ruffle to this card.

To make it look more like a quilt I used the Kiki Art Fun Tapes, there are two stitch designs and I used them both.  They are super easy and fun to use!

Hi everyone! Stephanie here from Nova Scotia!
It was my turn this week to play with my Kiki-Art stash and thought I’d make a few cards :)

This card was made with both the Magica Collection and the butterflies were made with the Hot Air Balloon collection (they were cut and then embossed with my cuttlebug)

I think this one is my fav…made with papers and chipboard pieces from the Familia Collection. The chipboard pieces were sprayed with Chalk Mist and dried with my heat gun to give it that grungy look.

Summer moved on…

Hello everyone! Einat Kessler here with another Lo for you. Summer almost moved on here, but it’s still hot and I’m waiting for winter. Every year we try to do something fun to celebrate the end of summer or at least the end of the summer break (school year starts on Sep. 1st). This year we went to the beach for the whole day. We had such a good time and I took a lot of photos. I especially like these two photos of the sunset, when I saw them I immediately thought of this line from A-ha song: “summer moved on”. I designed this page in the same spirit as my summer fun Lo, because I thought they would look great side by side.

It’s a bit difficult to see I used Perfect Pearls around the circles and on the page to give my sunset a little more glow.

The journaling sais: “Summer is almost over and summer break is nearly finished. We celebrated its end with grandma and grandpa on the beach, had a nice picnic and couldn’t get enough of the water even when the sun almost set. What a way to end the summer!

Hi again everyone! It’s Ria Mojica again for you today.  This month we mark one year since the huge flood brought on by Typhoon Ketsana (known as Ondoy in the Philippines). We were one of the lucky few who were barely affected. Most people whose homes were completely flooded and had to wait on their roofs for help or the water to subside have moved on, as best they could. But you can’t really forget when something like this happens…

Even my 9-yr old son who had to walk 5 minutes through waist-deep water to get home (they left the car on higher ground) gets worried when it seems that the rains show no sign of stopping.

We just assure him that the flood waters never reached our home then, and that the rains will have to stop at some point, for the sun to come out and shine…but until then, he’ll just have to hang on…

Float Like a Butterfly!

Children’s rooms are a magical place and deserve to be decorated that way!  My little girl, age 4, loves everything girly, particularly butterflies.  We recently just moved into a new home and have been working over the past few weeks on fixing it up just right.  Just the other day I was able to get a tent made of netting hung over her bed.  It was the perfect opportunity to use my Kiki-Art papers to make some darling butterflies to hang down from the center and really make my darling’s bed one fit for the princess she is!  I simply used my Silhouette machine (you could use any die cutting tool) and cut out some pretty little butterflies in different sizes.  I used the Magica line for this project as the pale purple went perfectly with the purple that is painted on the lower half of her walls.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I gave you some ideas on how to float some beautiful Kiki-Art butterflies!

Hello Kiki fans…

I have the honor of hosting on the blog today.

Here in South Africa we are heading into Spring and there is nothing better than the smell of beautiful flowers everywhere and the huming of birds and bees. It is the sense of new beginnings all around us. It sure is my favourite time of the year.

How do you love to spend your days during Springtime? As for us, we head down to the beach; or go to the park to feed the ducks; or simply just enjoy hanging around in our garden.

My LO I have created are with photos of my 2 sweet girls walking on the beach, on a cold winters day. Just as a way to say Goodbye Winter, hello Spring…

I punched the side of the PP to create a lattice effect, added some of the glittered chipboard scroll shape, which I cut in two. Added some of the ribbon and bling to finish it off.

Want a little Digi??

Well, as you know Kiki Art was featured in Scrapbook Magazine with the Sunny Bay Collection.  We, on the design team, were fortunate enough to get to play with the digital files!!!!

I started scrapbooking in digital first!  But, once I got my hands on paper, ink, and scissors, (oh my!) that didn’t last long!  Needless to say I was a little excited when I found out that we got the digital files!  So, here is what I created.  Now…I am not proclaiming to be the master of all things digi, but it is nice just to sit down and not have a mess sometimes!!!

So….you have seen some digital stamps on here that Kiki has had…and also on her blog!  So, you need to go grab them and play.  Use them for some of our challenges, etc.  There maybe some “news” in the future!!!

Hello Kiki-fans!   

It’s Ann-Katrin from Norway and the sun is shining! At this time it’s very cold in Norway and the leaves are falling from the trees.

I love the bright colors of Kiki Art’s paper and here I have used paper from Familia- and Magicaline. The picture is of my sweet little girl and I love her smile. She is so happy and bring us a lots of joy:

Flower necklace with a different twist

Hello Everyone – Virginia here! Are you out enjoying the last few days of summer vacation? I know we are at my house…and we are also busy getting ready for the start of school.

But…there is always time for some imaginary play! Today my daughter *needed* a flower necklace for her princess play. We looked and looked through our dress-up box but found nothing that would do the trick. Just when we were about to give up, she asked me to make her one! And so I did!

My youngest daughter has been eyening the orange puzzle paper (from the Familia – help me here Kiki as I cut off the strip) for a long time. She felt it would be perfect for her flower necklace and I totally agree!



She hasn’t stop looking at her necklace!

This project was so easy to make – use any flower die cut or punch, layer, decorate and string on ribbon. It is hours of play and minutes of work to create a lasting memory.

Hope you had an amazing Summer, I can’t believe that in a few more days my babies will be going to school!!

Linda Shewchuk here again, I am sitting here in tears as i write this post.  It literally does not seem like 2 years ago when my baby went to her first day of pre-school & now she will be going to Kindergarten right away!!   whaaaaaaaa!

I created this layout using Kiki Art’s Jardin Collection!  This is my baby on her very first day of pre-school.   I still think she is a princess!
