A Tin of Hearts

Hello Everyone!  I hope that you have been enjoying our sneek peeks this week!  What great lines Kiki has for us this  season!  I think they are so much fun!  I’m already trying to think of layouts and projects I can make with them and I’ve not even seen them all yet!

Speaking of projects, I want to share one with you today.  Lately I’ve been going through all my supplies and I always seem to find something I didn’t even know I had!  Like an old stamp tin that I found in a box.  I don’t know what happened to the stamps but I kept the tin.  Which turned out perfectly for this cute little fridge magnet set that I made.

I used modge podge to apply the Amor Corozon Mulitcolor (#010104) to the top of the tin.  I wanted the hearts of this paper to stand out, so I kept the embellies minimal and just used some red ribbon and one of the Kiki glittered chipboard hearts. (#010304).  The magnets themselves were the fun part.  I used a 1/2″ circle punch to cut out some random hearts in the varying colors.  I then applied them to the clear pebbles (which you can find in any craft store) using diamond glaze adhesive.

I had to trim just a bit once they were dry and then I added some magnetic strip to the backs.  I picked up a roll of magnetic strip at my local dollar store.  I thought that this would make a fun little hostess gift.   I had a lot of fun putting this together..try it, I think you will too!
