It is already June and I can’t believe the school year is almost over. In Israel the school year starts on September 1st and ends June 30th. July and August are the big summer vacation! The summer break is a time of fun, like everywhere else in the world. It’s hot. Sometimes very hot, so everyone goes to the beach and the swimming pool. Since the kids don’t go to school they attend summer programs and get to do a lot of great activities.
This year I am going to do a special summer workshop for teenage girls. It’s all going to be about mini albums. I love mini albums and I love Kiki Art products, so I thought why not combine the two. I decided that one of the projects in the workshop is going to be only with Kiki Art products. But, decision is one thing and actually doing it is another. My problem was I almost ran out of Kiki Art materials. How am I going to design a mini album? I took out everything I had, put it on my desk and looked at it. And then it came…a great idea, why not make a mini album from the Chipboard shapes I like so much? So please welcome “THE PIECES OF MY HEART” mini album! A mini album created from the chipboard puzzle shapes! I thought the name was very cute since the mini album was made from puzzle pieces and I added photos of my family who are the pieces of my heart.
I took two shapes and glued a paper on them to form the page and then I added photos. To have nice clean edges I sanded them slightly. I embellished the pages with hearts and sentiments.
I wrote a little poem on the second page:
“The pieces of my heart
Never stray too far apart
Always here close together
Keep my love strong forever!”
I used these Kiki Art products:
Papers: Antologia AMOR – Corazon Multicolor E, Corazon Multicolor
Chipboard: Antologia FAMILIA – chipboard shapes
