Meet Design Team Member: Katrina Hunt

Last week, Katrina had the opportunity to “interview” me as a way for everyone to learn more about me. Today, we’ve swapped positions, and I get to introduce everyone to Katrina Hunt.

I’ve been so fortunate to have “met” Katrina through this design team because she is definitely one sweet person. When I’m stuck in a rut, she’s always encouraging me to be creative, and when I negatively criticize my work, she tells me otherwise. On top of that, she’s a “dog mom” just like me, so we have tons to talk about online. Besides talking about our crazy dogs, we love to chat about everything and anything, and I’m so glad to call her my friend.

Now, on to the questions…

—————————————————————————————————–

1. If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Why?

Don’t laugh….Alaska!  I love snow, cold, and beauty….what more is there in Alaska!  Plus whale watching!  If I would pick overseas…probably Italy….love Italian food and from what I have seen on TV the country is beautiful.

2. If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be? Why?

Ok… let me answer for both dead and alive.

Dead—- Laura Ingalls Wilder, author of the “Little House” books.  I read those books over and over and still love them today.  Love the TV show and still watch the reruns.  The house where she lived when she wrote the books is an hour away.  I have been to visit once and am planning on going back this year.  (hint…watch the Kiki Art blog!)

Alive—-Martha Stewart!  Yes, you knew this one was coming!!! I know a lot of people don’t like her, but I would love to meet her and get a feel of what she is like in real life.  I mean she loves dogs, so she can’t be all bad!  And I know she probably doesn’t come up with some of the things, but I just am drawn to her.

3. Do you prefer to scrap alone or with a bunch of friends?

Although I have this “dream” of a scraproom, I love to scrap with friends.  It’s fun just to kick back, relax and laugh.  And sometimes the FUNNIEST things happen at crops!  It is not unheard of for me to come dragging home at 2:30 am from a crop that was supposed to end at midnight.

4. Where do you get the most done?

Ha ha!!  At home, definitely!!  Not as many distractions because I am not so good at shopping from my stash!  hee hee  😉  When I am at a crop, I tend to wander the store looking for extras!

5. What’s your favorite type of adhesive (tape adhesive, liquid adhesive, glue dots, etc.)?

Ok, this is a HARD one for me…I LOVE them all!  You name, I probably have it.  I can say that I have the most trouble with glue dots…luckily no instances of them  winding up in my hair yet.  :)  I probably use liquid adhesive the most….but pop dots are a close second.  I love dimension to my pages.  I found some really thick ones on clearance and use them all the time…I will be very sad when those are gone.

6. If you could have any scrapbook dream/gig, what would it be and why?

And here I thought you were going to ask me about the Olympics…sneaky!  This is a hard one….I really wanted to make a manufacturer’s team and I made it on Kiki-Art!  So, I guess you could say it already happened.  I guess I would love to be the one that inspires the masses, but I am going to have to get really crafty for that one!!!  I love to see people take stuff and make it their own…combining things from here and there. I have taught a class and a mini-class and my main motto was “do what you want with it, I don’t care and would love to see what you can do”.  Feeding the creativity and seeing people inspired from me makes me happiest!
