Katrina here! Hi!!!! We are doing something a little different today on the blog. We are going to introduce the Kiki Art Design Team members, so you can get to know the faces and stories behind all the creative things that are happening at Kiki Art.
I got the lucky duty of interviewing Sarah de Guzman!!!! Sarah and I have become quite the buddies thru the wonderful world of Yahoo chat. We have lots in common, including we are both dog moms! And I can’t wait to meet her in person. I am thinking we will be up all night talking.
Now, you can read more about Sarah HERE, but I had some questions that I wanted some answers to!!!
**Katrina: So Sarah, tell me what your “go to” scrapping product is that you reach for the most? Your fans want to know. 😉
Well, if you are talking about tools… I’d say my scissors! I can’t live without a pair of scissors! If you are talking about actual scrapbooking product, I’m all about the patterned paper! I think that patterned paper can go a loooooong way. You can use it as your background. You can cut it up to make your own embellishment. You can even cut out the little designs on the paper. Seriously, it’s for the scrapbooker on a budget *cough* ME *cough*
**Katrina: What is your favorite color to scrap with? You might start a new trend here……..
I love playing with neutral colors such as brown and green shades, but recently, I’ve been trying to change it up. Being versatile is always a good thing, don’t you think?! In these past couple of months, I’m all about the bright colors! It makes everything seem happier.
**Katrina: What is your favorite subject to scrap outside of the dogs? (hee hee!)
Other than those freak monster dogs that I have, I like to scrap about my friends and family. They ultimately make up WHO and WHAT I stand for. If I’m not scrapping about them, then I like to scrap about myself. Think of it as a form of journaling where I can document stuff about myself and my everyday life. One day, I want to look back on it, and remember stuff about ME.
**Katrina: How long does it take you to do a layout? (She has answered this one before, but I wanted it here to!)
I get asked this a lot! Is it because I’m always posting stuff on my blog!? hehe. In all honesty, it takes me anywhere from 15 min to an hour to complete ONE layout. Usually, it takes about 15-30 minutes per layout. Let’s just say that I’m a fast scrapper, and that’s how I can crank them out really fast. …but honestly, it’s not about speed/quantity, it’s about the quality and heart of your work.
**Katrina: One last question to round this up….Who is your all time favorite figure skater?! (and I can’t believe she didn’t say Kurt Browning!)
What kind of question is that, Katrina?! haha. Just kidding! My all time favorite figure skater is Kristi Yamaguchi! Why?! Well, for one, she’s local to my area! …and she was definitely a celebrity when I was little. She made me want to put on my roller blades (yes, I said roller blades!) and skate! …so other than her, I’d say myself! I’m not a professional or anything, but I LOVE skating around the ice rink for fun!
So, now you know a little more about Sarah! We are so lucky and honored that she is part of the Kiki Art Team (or…Team Kiki Art since the Olympics just closed!)
