Some more Altered Kiki Art…

Today’s Post comes from the uber-fabulous Lynda Lindley!

The start of this school year meant that both my girls were at school each day for lunch and in their lunches each day I slip them a little love note. I decided as one of my new years resolutions to get them ready before I was packing their lunch and actually be ahead of the ball game for a change. To do this I knew I would need to create a space to keep these little treasures until it was time to use them.

I grabbed an empty container that I had in my craft room and covered it first with a piece of the Cerco & Cia G pattern paper from the Jardin line. I then punched a circle from the same paper and used it to cover the top. I added a strip that I also cut from the same paper along the rim of the lid. I added a chipboard heart; I cut the arrow that I added from the piece that remains when you punch out the shapes. I added some pearl trim from my stash and the letter stickers to spell out what is inside the jar that will now sit in the cabinet above where I make their lunches each morning.

I then sat down and wrote notes to my girls onto strips of paper that I tucked inside the jar…it feels so good to be ahead of the game a bit and to have stuck to one resolution!

Happy crafting…..Lynda
