Happy New Year! It’s Nicole again Wow, where does the time go? I am
having a hard time getting back into some sort of rutine this new year. To
be honest, my craft room hasn’t seen much action in a while. My brother
recently got engaged and so I have been working double time to get some
invitation examples done. I’ll keep you posted on that craziness… and he
just told me that he is going to be needing 125… Wowie! Guess I am having
a invitation making party, wanna come?

Ok, so lets get to the really important stuff. How fabulous is this layout
with Kiki’s products?

I am not a big ‘heart’ person… unless you have a daughter ( No kiddies
here ). Otherwise I tend to think you draw a very fine line between whimsy
and cheesy. So here is my rule for all things whimsy (stars, hearts,
butterflies, sunflowers…etc.) I either make it the main shape of the page
and everything else is mini OR I make the whimsy mini and use it as accents.
When you make the whimsy a similar size as the photos it then competes with
the photos, and it seems like the whimsy always wins!

I love love loved the chipboard hearts from Kiki…. they were really good
quality. # 013101 – AMOR Chipboard album Heart shape

And I don’t know if you can notice but I used #010200 AMOR Funtape around
the photos treating it more like tape to hold down the photos… I really
like how it turned out.
