PRETTY SOAP
from Kim Jeffress
Here is a simple but lovely and most importantly, an inexpensive gift you could give to a friend, teacher, grandparent or loved one. Pretty Soap.
I sliced the Antologia Jardin Primavera pattern paper into strips of varying width. Then I used several border punches to create some decorative edges and inked the edge of each strip. I also used my cuttlebug embossing folders to add some texture to some of the strips. After layering the strips on top of each other and gluing them down with my double sided tape, I wrapped each of them around my soap while trimming off any excess. I glued them down again with the double sided tape and adhere them to the soap.

For the first one I added a thin piece of ribbon and tied a bow. I drew and then cut some holly leaves out of the pattern paper embossed and inked them and then attached them with double sided tape and glued a button down for the berries. I stamped a sentiment on a tag I cut from the pattern paper and attached that as well.

The second one has a piece of thin gingham ribbon wrapped around and tied in a bow. I also used one of Kiki Arts glitter hearts, punched a hole at the top and used a small gold safety pin to add a sentiment that I printed out on my dymo labeller. I also threaded some buttons and glued these down to add some interest.

I hope I have inspired you to create something hand made this Christmas.
